Hello Community Covenant Church!

This week is the start of Thanksgiving Week! There is so much to get excited for this weekend! First and foremost is our continued series "Faith in the Fire" as we dive into Daniel 6:13-28

As we come to the close of Daniel's story, we come to discover the deep meaning of Daniel's life. God has always intended to reach the ends of the earth with his glory, and Daniel has been a bold vessel for God's use, even while in the fire. In fact, it's in chapter 6 where we learn the real purpose behind Daniel's frequent trips into the fire.

Our service is at 10:00am, and we will follow it up with a wonderful time of coffee and connection!

Also, please plan on attending our special Sunday Night Thanksgiving Service! The night will consist of time in song and worship, stories of thanksgiving, and lifting up praise to our wonderful Lord. Our Thanksgiving Service is this Sunday from 6:00pm - 7:00pm.
As always, please read below as we have a lot going on in the life of the church!

Thanks and we will see you this Sunday! Both in the morning and at night!
COMING UP
We would like to express our love to Len and Diana during this difficult time. There will be a card you can sign this Sunday, if you would like. If you would like to bring a card and place it in a basket on Sunday morning, we will make sure that those get delivered to them the next time we visit with them. Thank you for your love and prayers for them.
Did you know Community Covenant Church has a lost and found? It's true, and it is currently full! If you have been missing a jacket, a bible, a cane or some glasses, please check out our special lost and found table that will be present outside during our time of fellowship.
Because of Hope (BOH) is a local nonprofit that works to sustainably empower widows and orphans in Uganda. The organization was started in 2011 by 3 young UCSB graduates who felt led by the Lord to partner with an organization in Uganda who was ministering to widows in their community. Since then, BOH's operations have grown to include 5 agriculture projects, a scholarship program, and a Beads Project, all of which provide women with opportunities to support their families. Through our Beads Project, our women make paper bead jewelry and beautiful crafts which provide them with a source of income. These items make unique, meaningful gifts for Christmas, and 100% of the proceeds benefit the women who make the items. Please stop by their table outside today. You can purchase items that support the women in Uganda and also sign up for BOH's newsletter if you would like to receive updates about the organization's work.

Don't miss the opportunity to grow closer to Jesus in an abiding relationship that produces fruit that will last! We meet Tuesday mornings from 6:15 to 7:30am in the media room to learn, encourage one another, and share spiritual discoveries from God's word. Other men that have been on the Journey will be attending with you as guides and encouragers. Please see Steve Wagner or John Vanlenten if you have any questions. A sign up sheet will be on the patio after worship service.
We are going through a book called Abide. This is a 10-week study, and it all comes in a beautiful workbook. There are two different times for this study: either Monday night from 6-8pm, or Wednesday, from 10:00-11:45am. Both groups will meet in the media room. We'll watch a video of Jen teaching about this passage, and we'll discuss the study and pray for each other. We hope to see you!

This coming Sunday will be your opportunity to bring food items for coffee fellowship. Please bring plated items, ready to serve, to the Fireside Room, prior to the beginning of worship and place them on the large table. If you are not able to drop off a treat during your selected week, please feel free to contribute on another week.

As of today, we have raised $50,294 which is enough to cover the costs for the speakers and soundboard portion of the budget. We need to raise an additional $23,004 in order to purchase the instruments and modern system connections.

Please consider what you might be able to do to help make this dream come true by contributing toward this project, outside your normal giving. You can go to https://comcov.org/worship to learn more. If you choose to give online, click on GIVE, where you'll be directed to a dropdown button that will give you the option of giving to the Worship Enhancement Project.Thank you for your consideration of making this project a reality.
Every Sunday, members of our faithful prayer team will be available after worship to pray for you. If you would like prayer, please approach them after worship. The prayer team member will step aside with you and pray for you.
