Sometimes Jesus stuns us with what he says, but we must hear Jesus out if we are going to be his disciples. Let's open our hearts this Sunday as we ponder his heavy declaration that many are invited, but few are chosen. (Matthew 22:14)
Our service is at 10:00 am, and we will follow it up with a wonderful time of coffee and connection. As always, please read below as there is a lot going on in the life of the church.

LIFE AT COMMUNITY COVENANT
Women's Bible Study-the Sermon on the Mount by Jen Wilkin
Women's Bible study is starting up a new session next week! There are two choices to choose from: Monday night (starting April 15) from 6:30 to 8 PM or Wednesday morning (starting April 17) from 10 to 11:45 AM.
Both studies meet in the Media Room at the church.
Stop by the Women's Ministry table this Sunday April 14 to register and pick up a book. Books are $27.
Women's Ministry invites you to lunch and cookie decorating, Sunday, April 21!
All women (and girls over 12) are invited to stay after church on Sunday, April 21 for lunch and a lesson on cookie decorating. (It is called royal icing which is used for piping, outlining and flooding designs on cookies.) We will have a professional baker to teach us.
Lunch and decorating will start in the multipurpose room at 11:45 am. Bring an appetite and your creativity! And feel free to bring a friend!
Santa Barbara Worship Night at Community Covenant Church This Sunday!
Our Young Adults are putting on our next All-City worship night this Sunday, April 14 at 4:00 pm here at Community Covenant Church of Goleta! Although this event will be attended by a lot of young adults, all are invited and encouraged to attend. Feel free to invite people no matter which church they attend, or if they even attend a church at all, as congregations from Goleta to Thousand Oaks will be worshiping God as one at Community Covenant.

As a prolific comedy writer, public speaker and podcast host, Kyle brings levity and laughter with his witty sense of satirical humor, reminding us to not take ourselves too seriously.

We are in need of Greeters and Ushers!
Community Covenant Church has always been a welcoming culture and our greeting time is always a highlight on Sundays, as is our time of fellowship. In the past year our average attendance has grown substantially and we need your help in welcoming people to the CCC family! That is why we are establishing a greeting team and an usher team, and we would love you to be a part of it.

Students! And it Was Good Week 2!
We're continuing in our series this week And It Was Good. In it, we're focusing on God's good plan for justice in the world and encouraging students to see how they can choose to step into that work to see wrongs made right. This week, we're talking about what to do when you or someone around you experiences injustice. The goal? To encourage students to see that they aren't alone in their experiences. When they face injustice or are working for good, they have God and others with them. We're excited to hear about what comes from your conversations in the coming weeks! Group will be from 6:15-8:30pm next Wednesday!

Please bring plated items, ready to serve, to the Fireside Room, prior to the beginning of worship and place them on the large table. If you are not able to drop off a treat during your selected week, please feel free to contribute on another week.
Every Sunday, members of our faithful prayer team will be available after worship to pray for you. If you would like prayer, please approach them after worship. The prayer team member will step aside with you and pray for you.
