Hello Community Covenant Church of Goleta!

Welcome to another meaningful week at Community Covenant Church - and another special Sunday to gather for worship. There is something powerful about stepping away from the noise of our week to refocus our hearts, lift our voices together, and remember who we are in Christ. Whether you've been part of this church family for years or are just beginning to find your place, know this: you belong here. God is at work in our community, and every Sunday is an invitation to encounter Him - together.

As we continue through Paul's letter to the Thessalonians, we see a pastor's deep longing to be with his people. Presence mattered then, and it still matters now. Join us this Sunday at 10.

God is moving at Community Covenant, and there are many ways to step in, connect, and grow. Take a moment to explore the updates below and see where God might be inviting you next.

LIFE AT COMMUNITY COVENANT

FISCAL YEAR BUDGET UPDATE

As we approach the end of our fiscal year on March 31, we want to share a brief update on our church budget. Faithful stewardship and open communication matter deeply to us, and we remain grateful for the many ways you continue to support the ministries of Community Covenant Church.

As of January 31, our year-to-date giving is $471,271, compared to a budgeted amount of $536,732, resulting in a current shortfall in budgeted giving of $65,461.

We share this simply to keep our church family informed and to invite you to prayerfully consider how the Lord might lead you in your giving as we finish the fiscal year. Your generosity plays a vital role in sustaining the ministry God has entrusted to us - supporting discipleship, outreach, student ministries, pastoral care, and the many ways we seek to LOVE GOD | FOLLOW JESUS | SERVE OTHERS together.

Thank you for your continued faithfulness, generosity, and commitment to the life and mission of our church. It is a joy to serve alongside you, trusting that God will continue to provide for all that lies ahead.

Ash Wednesday | February 18 | 7:00 PM

There are moments in the life of the Church when we are invited to slow down, return to what matters most, and open our hearts anew to God's transforming grace. Ash Wednesday is one of those sacred moments.

As we enter the season of Lent together, we step into a 40-day journey of prayer, repentance, and renewed dependence on Jesus - a journey that ultimately leads us to the hope and resurrection joy of Easter. This gathering is not simply about remembering our need for God; it is about re-centering our lives on Him and responding to His invitation to deeper life.

For many in our church family, this service has become a meaningful rhythm - a space to reflect, worship, confess, and be reminded that we belong to God.

Explore the Christian Heritage of England and Scotland!

Did you know that much of American Christianity was shaped by historic events in England and Scotland? This fall, Pastor Eric will be hosting a Christian heritage tour of key sites in both countries-and you're invited!

With 2026 marking the 500th anniversary of William Tyndale's English translation of the New Testament, this is a particularly meaningful time to go.

Last week, Pastor Eric hosted an informational meeting about the tour and will be offering another one in the near future. In the meantime, you can learn more by clicking the links below.

? Women's Bible Study is up and running

This week we launched a 10-week study through 1 & 2 Thessalonians, and the response has been amazing. This is a very practical, hope-filled study that explores questions many of us wrestle with, like:
How can I be sure of my purpose?
How can I know I'm truly loved?
How can I live with confidence in God's approval?

If you missed the first week, no worries-you're still very welcome to join.

Groups meet on Monday evenings at 6:30pm or Wednesday mornings at 10:00am. Whether you're brand new to Bible study or have been following Jesus for years, this is a welcoming space to grow deeper in faith, build meaningful friendships, and study God's Word together.

Have questions or want to jump in? Fill out a Connect Card or stop by the Welcome Tent after the service-we'd love to help you get connected.
