Hello Community Covenant Church of Goleta!

We know you already received this email, but in our editing process we forgot to add an update on our annual meeting. Please read that announcement below. Thanks!

Welcome to another meaningful week at Community Covenant Church-and another sacred opportunity to gather as God's people. As we journey through the Lent season, gather together with us as we support one another in our walk with Jesus, Remember you are not alone.

This week wraps up our study of 1 Thessalonians. But our wrap up is also an invitation to keep on growing into the likeness of God's Son because God is faithful, and He Will Do It!

God is moving at Community Covenant, and we encourage you to take a moment to explore the updates below and see where God might be inviting you next.

Easter Egg Hunt Candy Fill-Up - Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who picked up eggs to help make this year's Community Covenant Easter Egg Hunt special - we love seeing our church come together in simple, meaningful ways like this.

Just a quick reminder as you're filling them up:
Fill your eggs with candy (Please no chocolate due to melting.) | Bring them back by March 29 (Palm Sunday)

Your small act of helping fill eggs is going to create a really fun and memorable moment for the kids in our church and community.

Thanks again for being part of it - we can't wait to see it all come together!

Annual Congregational Business Meeting

Sunday, March 29 | Immediately Following the Service

Church family, we invite you to join us for our Annual Congregational Business Meeting on Sunday, March 29, right after the morning service in the Worship Center.

This is an important moment in the life of our church - a time to reflect on what God has done, look ahead to where He is leading us, and participate in key decisions that help shape our future together.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
If you are a member of Community Covenant Church, your participation is especially important as we will be voting on new board members and approving the annual budget.

The Leadership Board is proposing a budget for the next fiscal year that reflects our vision for the coming season of ministry, key priorities, and anticipated financial resources. Additional information about the proposed budget will be included in next week's e-blast, along with the packet of Annual Meeting materials. You can view the proposed budget and Annual Meeting materials using the button below.

We're grateful for the ways God continues to work in and through our church, and this gathering is one meaningful way we walk forward together in unity and purpose.

KARIM HENIN, Nominee for Treasurer

After officially immigrating to the USA in 2009 and having lived in three different countries, Community Covenant Church has been home and a blessing to our family since 2010.

I met my amazing bride, Marian, 27 years ago-she was my college tutor and sweetheart-and we've now been married for 20 years. We're blessed with three wonderful teenagers: Alex, who studies Aerospace Engineering at CS Long Beach, and Lilly and Sam, who are both in 11th grade at Providence.

Although I grew up in a Christian family, my true Christian birth took place during my college years at a three-day Prayer and Worship conference with over 2,000 attendees. My faith and intimacy with the Lord were deeply shaped during my pharmacy college years, serving underserved and remote Egyptian communities-meeting medical needs while sharing the Living Truth through prayer and worship outreach events.

At CCC, I currently serve with the Tech Team, Children's Ministry, Operation Christmas Child during the fall, and the Leadership Board in the area of missions and outreach. I am truly honored to be nominated as Treasurer.

GREG ROBERTSON, Nominee for Leadership Board

My parents were faithful believers and raised my sister and I accordingly. I don't remember a time in my life that I didn't believe in God and accepted Jesus as my savior at a Christian camp at the age of thirteen. I attended Spring Arbor College, a Christian school in Michigan prior to moving to California.

For more than ten years my wife Laura and I have been attending Community Covenant Church. We have been married for 32 years and have two sons Chase (27) and Bryce (24).

We are members of CCC and have been part of life groups for many years. We've been blessed by the close fellowship and spiritual growth life groups provide. We have greatly benefited from the spiritual wisdom and strength found in our groups during times of trial and need, and been blessed to have supported others when called upon. For the past several years I have had the opportunity to facilitate the Alpha program at CCC and witnessed the life changing impact it offers.

It is an honor to have been nominated to the Leadership Board.

Dorine Paullin Memorial Service | March 28 12:00 PM

You are invited to join us as we gather to remember and celebrate the life of Dorine Paullin.

Memorial Service
Saturday, March 28 | 12:00 PM
Community Covenant Church
Reception to follow

This service will be a meaningful time to reflect, give thanks for Dorine's life, and support the family with our presence and prayers. Dorine was a faithful and cheerful helper for many years before she became homebound. Whether you remember Dorine's faithful service to the Lord or crossed paths with her previously at Community Covenant, all are welcome as we come together in hope and gratitude.

Good Friday Update

As we journey toward Easter, Good Friday invites us to slow down and stand in the tension of the cross. It's a sacred space-a moment to remember the cost of love and the depth of grace.

In past years, churches across Santa Barbara-including ours-have gathered for a shared Good Friday service. This year, that citywide gathering is taking a pause, and Community Covenant will not be hosting a Good Friday service of our own.

If you would like to attend a Good Friday service, we encourage you to join one of these neighboring churches:

Santa Barbara Community Church - Friday at 7:00 PM
Ocean Hills Covenant Church - Friday at 6:00 PM

Good Friday is a powerful moment in the story of our faith. Before we celebrate the joy of Easter Sunday, we pause to remember the sacrifice of Jesus and the love displayed on the cross.

Easter at Community Covenant
Sunday, April 5 | 10:00 AM | Outdoor Service

Easter is a celebration of resurrection-of hope breaking through darkness and new life rising in the name of Jesus.

Join us for a special outdoor Easter service as we gather to worship, celebrate, and remember the hope we have in the risen Christ. Whether Community Covenant has been your church home for years or you're just beginning to explore faith, there's a place for you here.

We'll have chairs set up outside, but you're also welcome to bring a blanket and get comfortable.

Invite cards will be available at the Connect Table, so feel free to grab a few and invite a friend, neighbor, or family member to join you.

Let's come together with joy and anticipation as we celebrate the risen King.

Spring Concert Fundraiser - Supporting MomCo Goleta

Join us for a special evening supporting MomCo Goleta (formerly MOPS)

Enjoy a relaxed night with live music, dinner, childcare, and a silent auction featuring some great local businesses.

MomCo originally began here as Goleta MOPS, and today we still have many moms in our church who are part of it. It's been a real blessing in our community - offering encouragement, connection, and support in the season of motherhood.

If MomCo has impacted you, or if you simply want to invest in moms in our community, this is a great way to be part of what God is continuing to do through this ministry.
