This Sunday, we're looking forward to another meaningful time of worship together as a church family. Whether you've been with us for years or you're brand new, you are welcome here-and we believe God has something for you this week. This week, we welcome our very own Jason Paras to share God's Word with us.
This Sunday, as our lead Pastor Eric Sorenson is still on sabbatical, our pastor of Students and Connections, Brandon Read, brings a message from Mark 4:35-41 called "When You Can't See What's Next." We'll explore how to trust Jesus in the middle of life's storms, learning to release control and find peace in His presence.
There are so many exciting things happening here at Community Covenant Church, and we are excited to see God work in many ways here at CCC! Please read below on all that is coming up! We can't wait to see you this Sunday!
LIFE AT COMMUNITY COVENANT
? Fall Fest Is Next Week - Saturday, October 25th! ?
Fall Fest is almost here-and it's going to be huge! Join us for an afternoon packed with bounce houses, hayrides, carnival games, and more candy than you can imagine. It's one of our favorite days of the year as we welcome around 500 people from our community to laugh, play, and connect together!
But we need your help to make it happen:
We still need 25 more volunteers! Jump in to help with games, welcome guests, or serve wherever needed-there's a spot for everyone.
We also need more candy! Bring candy donations to the Welcome Table this Sunday so every child leaves with a smile (and a sugar rush!).
This is the final week to sign up-don't wait!
Click the button below or stop by the Welcome Table this Sunday to volunteer or drop off candy.
Let's come together as a church family to bless our community and make this Fall Fest one to remember. ? We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Volunteer Bakers and Sweet Treat Donations Needed for Fall Fest!??
At this year's Fall Fest, I, Katie, am putting together a special table dedicated to sweet treats and desserts! But it won't come to life without help from you! I am seeking volunteers to bake or bring your favorite desserts to display on the table, and of course, to eat and enjoy!?
Community Covenant Church is honored to host the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission's Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, November 15 at 5:00 PM. This special evening will celebrate 12 men and women who have completed their one-year residential recovery program - a powerful moment of transformation and hope!
We're expecting around 200 guests for the reception following the ceremony, and we'd love your help making it a warm and welcoming celebration.
?️ Here's how you can serve:
Volunteer at the reception - help with setup, serving, or cleanup.
Bring sandwiches! We need lots of them - tuna, chicken, egg salad, ham & cheese, or any variety you love. Please bring sandwiches cut in halves and plated.
You can sign up this Sunday after worship at the patio table or by signing up below.
Thank you for partnering with us to bless our community and celebrate the incredible work God is doing through the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission!
This past summer, Karyn Sorenson led a team from our church to the island of Yap for a week-long Vacation Bible School-sharing the love of Jesus with children and families, and strengthening the bonds of the global church.
Because of your generosity and prayers, this trip became a powerful expression of God's love in action. Lives were touched, relationships were built, and the gospel was shared in tangible ways.
You gave. They went. And here's the outcome.
