As amazing as it sounds, the Bible indicates that our prayers have an impact on people's desire to trust in Jesus. It's an amazing truth that we will explore this week as we gather together for worship, under the Word of God, and at the Lord's Supper.

Looking for the perfect way to connect after church? Join us at Goleta Beach for food and great conversation! It's a wonderful way to unwind and build relationships in a warm, welcoming environment with friends-both old and new. ?
This week, we will be at the Beach, but the remaining Sundays in August is when we give our wonderful Hospitality Team a little break so there won't be the same wonderful spread on the tables. But the coffee and a small assortment of treats will be there to encourage you to stick around and meet new people!

Kids in for Musical Worship all Summer!
As we head into the summer season, we're excited for a special opportunity for our kids and families to worship together as a church community. As a reminder, Kids Check-In has moved to the Welcome Tent for the summer, and our kids will join the congregation for musical worship before heading to their classes.
We love creating space for the next generation to see and experience the church worshipping together-singing, praying, and gathering as one family in Christ. We believe these moments help shape and disciple our kids as they learn what it means to follow Jesus alongside the larger church community.
Exploring the Christian Heritage Classes on Monday (Open to All!)
Classes began Monday, July 27, and meet from 7:00-8:30pm. During these sessions, Pastor Eric will explore the history, people, and significance of many of the places we'll be visiting on this Fall's tour, helping bring the tour to life before we even depart and giving those that can't go a chance to share the experience. They are being live-streamed and recorded so you can catch up if you missed a class.
Everyone is welcome to attend even if you are not going on the tour! These classes will be especially meaningful for those traveling with the group.
We look forward to learning together as we prepare for this unforgettable journey!
Join us for one of our favorite church gatherings of the year!
On Sunday, August 2, immediately following our worship service, we'll head to Goleta Beach for our annual Beach Baptism & BBQ. It's going to be a wonderful afternoon of celebrating new life in Christ, enjoying fellowship together, and spending time as a church family.
Please note: There will be no Coffee & Connection after the worship service that morning. Instead, we'll head directly to Goleta Beach.
We'll gather first at the Goleta Beach Pier parking area to celebrate baptisms together. After the baptisms, we'll make our way to Group Area B for our church BBQ and potluck.
What to Bring
Your own meat to grill (or enjoy a hotdog on us!)
A side dish or dessert to share
A beach chair or blanket
We'll have the grills hot and ready to go!
Whether you've been at Community Covenant for years or you're joining us for the first time, we'd love to have you there. Invite your family, bring your friends, and come celebrate all that God is doing in the lives of our church family.
We can't wait to spend the afternoon together!
Nametags Are Back! - Sunday, August 2
We thought that the Baptism and Beach BBQ was a great time to bring back the nametags! Everyone can have a chance to learn a few names as we gather together for worship in our lovely Church and then fellowship and celebration at Goleta Beach. So pick up your nametag before service and wear it down to the beach!
Men's BBQ & Worship Night | August 10
The Men's Journey Group invites all men to a Men's BBQ & Worship Night on Monday, August 10, at 6:00pm in the Community Covenant Church Multipurpose Room.
Invite a friend and join us for an incredible Santa Maria Tri-Tip BBQ, a meaningful time of worship, and a powerful personal testimony from a brother sharing how Christ has transformed his life as he continues to abide in Him.

All Church Time of Prayer | Sunday, August 16
Join us Sunday, August 16, following the service at around noon, for a 30-minute time of corporate prayer.
This gathering will be a space for us to seek God together as a church family-praying for our church, our community, and our personal walks with Jesus in the year ahead. We'll begin with a guided time of prayer together, followed by an opportunity for anyone who would like to share a personal prayer request and be prayed for by others in our church family.
We believe there is something powerful about coming together in prayer-gathered, dependent, and expectant before God-and we would love for you to join us.

Besides loaning books from our library for anyone interested, we now have books available that you can keep! Thanks to a generous donation, we have a selection of books on a table in the Fireside Room that you are free to take. Just ask at the Welcome Desk on Sunday and we will be glad to show you the Library!
