Hello Community Covenant Church of Goleta!
Welcome to another wonderful week of worshiping God together! As we move into a new season, we are grateful for the ways God continues to work among us. Each Sunday gives us the opportunity to pause, gather as one church family, and turn our hearts toward the God who is worthy of our worship.
We continue to explore the church this week as we ask a relevant question: "Why do we do this?" Why do we gather around the Lord's Supper? If we put the answer into practice, it can revolutionize our experience at the table-even this Sunday!

? Fall Fest is Almost Here - Join Us October 18th!
Bring your friends and family to Fall Fest on Sunday, October 18, for an afternoon of fun at Community Covenant Church! Enjoy bounce houses, hay rides, carnival games, candy, and time together with our neighbors. There's something for every age, and we'd love to see you there!
Invite cards are available! Fall Fest is for our whole community, and a personal invitation is a wonderful way to help someone feel welcome. Pick up a few cards at the Welcome Tent and share them with your friends, neighbors, and family!

Each year, Fall Fest welcomes around 500 people from our community. We'd love your help making Sunday, October 18 a warm and memorable day for every guest!
Sign up to serve with games, bounce houses, hay rides, popcorn, nachos, or welcoming guests. You can sign up online using the button below or at the Welcome Table on Sunday.
Donate candy by bringing a bag to the Welcome Table on Sundays. Thank you for helping us share a fun day with our neighbors!
Mondays 6:30-8 p.m. and Wednesdays 10-11:45 a.m., starting 9/28 and 9/30, in the Media room.
Women's Bible study has started a 7 week study of "Daring Joy" by Nicole Zasowski. This study will offer through-provoking questions and exercises to help you engage with 6 women in the Bible and apply their enduring joy to your life. ? Although the series started, it is not too late to join! Each week is a different woman of the Bible's story to explore.
Joy can feel risky. When you've experienced pain of any kind, it can feel easier not to dream than to be disappointed, or not to hope than to be left heartbroken. If you ever feel like it's safer not to embrace joy at all than to hold something that might break, you're not alone. Thankfully, the Bible paints a different picture-one that gives you the courage to hold on to joy regardless of your circumstances.
This study has a short video (each less than 20 minutes), where Nicole will share some insights with us. We will also spend some time in small groups together, in discussion and prayer.
Books will be available at the Bible Study or from the church office Mon - Thurs 10am-2pm. Scholarships are available. Books are $17 (Cash, check or Venmo)

Community Covenant Mid Year Meeting
Sunday, October 25 after the service
Join us for our Mid-Year Congregational Meeting on Sunday, October 25, right after the worship service. Grab a cup of coffee, then head back to the sanctuary for important updates from Pastor Eric and our Leadership Board.
As a church family, we have the privilege of sharing in the life and direction of our congregation. Come hear about key issues facing our church and pray together for God's guidance in the months ahead. We'd love to have you join us!
Are You Interested in Becoming An Active Member of Community Covenant?
Our church has "Community" in its name on purpose. We want to be people centered on Jesus, growing in faith and living it out together. Our purpose is to cultivate a community that strives to love God, follow Jesus and serve others-and we'd love to help you discover your place in that community.
Join us for our two-week New Members Class on November 8 and 15, after the Sunday service. Over lunch and conversation, we'll explore what we believe, how our purpose shapes life at Community Covenant Church, and what it means to become a member.
Whether you're ready to pursue membership or simply want to learn more, you're welcome! There's no obligation to become a member, but attending both sessions is required for those who choose to take that step.

Our Prayer Team is available after every service and would be honored to pray with you-whether your request feels big, small, or somewhere in between. No judgment. No pressure. Just people who care and want to seek God alongside you.
