Happy Mother's Day from Community Covenant Church!
This Sunday, we want to take a moment to honor and celebrate all women-mothers, grandmothers, spiritual mothers, mentors, and friends-who have shaped our lives with love, strength, and grace. Whether today brings joy, longing, gratitude, or a mix of emotions, we recognize and appreciate the many ways women reflect the heart of God in our community.
We are taking a small break this Sunday in our series, "Keepers of the Gospel" and spend time centered on remembering how God has worked in our lives so we can move forward in faith and trust Him with what's ahead.
With Mother's Day in mind, the message will also encourage moms and families to hold onto the bigger picture of God's faithfulness as they trust Him with their children's journey.
God is moving at Community Covenant, and we encourage you totake a moment to explore the updates below and see where God might be inviting you next.

In honor of the many loved mothers at Community Covenant Church of Goleta-and the mothers who helped shape our lives-we'll be celebrating Mother's Day with a special gift. This Sunday, all women are invited to take a carnation as a small expression of gratitude and appreciation.
We'll also have extra carnations available if you'd like to give one to a special mother or mother figure in your life.

Please mark your calendar now, and feel free to invite a friend. This will be a sweet time to get to know one another better, and to grow deeper with the God who loves us more than we can imagine!
Registration fee is $25 and you can click the button below!
Note: Sponsorships are available. Ask Lisa Call for details.
Ladies, we hope to see you there!
Invite a friend or neighbor to join you!
If you're college age (or around 25 and under), this is for you.
Two weeks from now-Sunday, May 17, right after worship-we're gathering for a taco lunch, followed by some line dancing out on the lawn.
No pressure on the dancing part… some of us are still learning, but it's going to be a really fun, low-key way to hang out, meet people, and build some connection.
We'd love to keep you in the loop for things like this, so we're also putting together a group text for our college-age crew. If you haven't already, stop by the Welcome Tent this Sunday and drop your name and number.
Come grab some tacos, try a few dance steps, and spend time with good people.
Sunday, May 17 | Right after service
We'd love to see you there.

Greeters and Usher Recruitment
At Community Covenant Church, one of the things we love most about Sundays is the way people are welcomed-through warm conversations, meaningful connections, and a genuine sense of belonging. Our greeting time and fellowship moments are a true reflection of that.
We're so grateful for our current greeter and usher team, who faithfully serve each week to help create that kind of environment.
As our church continues to grow, we're looking to expand this team-and we'd love for you to be part of it.
If you're interested in helping create a welcoming Sunday morning experience, we invite you to join us for a Greeter & Usher Open Gathering. This will be a simple, no-pressure time to learn more about what it looks like to serve in these roles and how you can get involved.
Sunday, May 24 Right after the service Worship Center
If you have any questions, feel free to connect with Brandon Read, our Pastor of Students and Connections.
Community Covenant of Goleta will be offering monthly free movie showings on Tuesday afternoons starting May 12. The doors to the Media Room will be open at 2pm and the movie will start at 2:15pm. Our first showing will be the film version of the stage play "The Hiding Place". We will have popcorn and sparkling water to kick off this new activity. Feel free to invite your friends!
"The Hiding Place" is based on the true story of Corrie Ten Boom. During World War II, Corrie Ten Boom and her family in Holland secretly hide Jews from the Nazis. When their efforts are discovered, they are arrested and sent to concentration camps. In the face of unimaginable suffering, Corrie relies on her unwavering faith to survive. This powerful true story, based on her best-selling book, showcases courage, sacrifice, and forgiveness, revealing how one woman's compassion transformed many lives.
