Welcome to another wonderful week at Community Covenant Church - and another special Sunday to be together!
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who made Fall Fest such a success! Over 50 volunteers helped create a beautiful afternoon where hundreds from our community came out to enjoy games, food, and connection. What an incredible picture of God's love in action through His people!
This Sunday, we're honored to welcome Dennis Wadley as our guest preacher - the final speaker during Eric's sabbatical. Dennis served as the former Lead Pastor of our church and now leads Bridges of Hope International, a global ministry making a powerful impact in South Africa, Ethiopia, and Micronesia. The Wadleys remain a beloved part of our CCC family, and we're thrilled to have them with us!
There's so much happening here at Community Covenant - and we're excited to see how God continues to move among us. Check out the updates below to stay connected and see how you can get involved.
We can't wait to worship with you this Sunday!

Mid-Year Congregational Meeting -- Sunday, November 9!
It's time, church family, for our Mid-Year Congregational Meeting ... right after the worship service on November 9. After you grab some coffee, we'll reconvene in the sanctuary to receive some important updates from Pastor Eric and from our Leadership Board.
We will celebrate what God has been doing in our church ministries since March, highlight and thank our volunteers, hear the latest on staffing, and get budget updates for the first six months of this fiscal year. The Election Committee also will present Karim Henin as the nominee to serve on the Leadership Board as Overseer of Missions and Outreach, and distribute ballots to members of the church.
What a privilege it is to be part of this church family! Join us on November 9 to hear from our church leaders about key issues facing our congregation and to pray together for God's direction in the months ahead.
Year-End Financial Report
Our Mid-Year Congregational Meeting on November 9 will include an update on this year's budget. Meanwhile, information about last year's budget (April 2024 - March 2025) is available for you here. As you will see, overall results were better than budgeted; actual tithes and offerings, as well as total revenue, exceeded budget assumptions. Thank you!
After officially immigrating to the USA in 2009 and having lived in three different countries, Community Covenant Church has been home and a blessing to our family since 2010.
I met my amazing bride, Marian, 27 years ago-she was my college tutor and sweetheart-and we've now been married for 20 years. We're blessed with three wonderful teenagers: Alex, who studies Aerospace Engineering at CS Long Beach, and Lilly and Sam, who are both in 11th grade at Providence.
Although I grew up in a Christian family, my true Christian birth took place during my college years at a three-day Prayer and Worship conference with over 2,000 attendees. My faith and intimacy with the Lord were deeply shaped during my pharmacy college years, serving underserved and remote Egyptian communities-meeting medical needs while sharing the Living Truth through prayer and worship outreach events.
At CCC, I currently serve with the Tech Team, Children's Ministry, and Operation Christmas Child during the fall. I am truly honored to be considered as a Leadership Board candidate, and I look forward to supporting our church's Missions vision in this new capacity.
Community Covenant Church is honored to host the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission's Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, November 15 at 5:00 PM. This special evening will celebrate 12 men and women who have completed their one-year residential recovery program - a powerful moment of transformation and hope!
We're expecting around 200 guests for the reception following the ceremony, and we'd love your help making it a warm and welcoming celebration.
?️ Here's how you can serve:
Volunteer at the reception - help with setup, serving, or cleanup.
Bring sandwiches! We need lots of them - tuna, chicken, egg salad, ham & cheese, or any variety you love. Please bring sandwiches cut in halves and plated.
You can sign up this Sunday after worship at the patio table or by signing up below.
Thank you for partnering with us to bless our community and celebrate the incredible work God is doing through the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission!
HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who baked and/or brought sweettreats to contribute to the dessert table at this year's Fall Fest! It was a huge success!
